I'm cleaning the radiator

In order for your car engine to serve you for many years, first of all you need to take care of the cooling system, since constant overheating of the engine can lead to a leak in the engine head soon.

If the cooling system is clogged, meaning the radiator, then there are two ways to solve this problem: either clean the radiator, or take extreme measures - replace the radiator with a new one. Repairs should only be carried out when the engine has cooled down.

Before this procedure, it is best to read the car repair manual, although you can do it yourself.

First, you need to drain the coolant from the radiator, be it antifreeze or antifreeze, or maybe someone also has water in the radiator. Even at the stage of draining the coolant, it is already possible to determine what is the reason for the clogging of the radiator. If, while draining the antifreeze, you notice that the liquid is very dirty, then most likely the antifreeze was the cause of the blockage. In this case, you need to thoroughly rinse the radiator and clean it of all kinds of dirt. You can rinse the radiator not only with antifreeze and antifreeze, ordinary water is quite suitable for this. To clean the radiator and the entire cooling system conscientiously, it is best to fill in water and warm up the engine to operating temperature. Then turn off, wait until the engine cools down and drain the water. If necessary, this procedure must be performed several times. If this procedure does not help, then it is better in this case to contact a car service.

As for cleaning, it must be carried out not only from the inside, but also from the outside. Moreover, from dust, dirt, all sorts of branches and insects over the summer, the radiator can specifically clog up, so there is no need to forget about external cleaning.
