What does the motor do?

 | Motor power is measured in watts and is a combination of torque and speed. Higher power motor can convert battery power into torque and speed more efficiently. This usually means that a higher power tool can generate more torque at higher speeds. |
 | Please note: Motor power is a relatively new way of measuring the power of cordless drill/drivers, so most manufacturers don't have this information. If this information is provided, it is a good way to compare several different models. Generally, a 100W motor or higher will allow you to work harder materials and larger propellers at higher speeds. |
