What to do if the navigator breaks down in an unfamiliar area
Electronic gadgets have become so firmly established in the life of a modern person that it is already difficult to imagine how one can live without them. This is especially true for today's drivers, who, most likely, have long forgotten what paper geographical maps look like. It is terrible to imagine what a hopeless situation a person will find himself in if, while driving in an unfamiliar area, his only navigator fails. In the holiday season, the problem, you see, is very relevant.
Well, if your car is equipped with a sane standard navigation system, with which you have complete understanding. But many drivers prefer to use this feature in their smartphones. Firstly, navigation systems in far from all foreign cars are distinguished by impeccable resourcefulness, especially if it happens in a remote Russian province. And secondly, smartphones allow you to use regularly updated applications that provide online information about current traffic jams. But here's the problem: electronics has a pernicious habit of failing at the most inopportune moment - especially on the road and exactly where, it seems, no human foot has yet set foot.
So, if the only phone or navigator in the car is suddenly paralyzed out of the blue, first of all try to find the cause of what happened. First of all, make sure that the charger is connected and that it is working properly. It often happens that the gadget after a long work is simply discharged due to lack of power. For example, a loosely connected wire will usually come out of its socket when the car is bumped over bumps.
If it's not the contacts, you just have to use a spare charger or other cord to check. God grant that at this stage your problem is safely resolved.
If the button of your device still does not react in any way to being turned on, and it treacherously fell into a coma, alas, you cannot do without the help of a service center specialist.
Faced with this problem at the height of the day in the village, you will always have the opportunity to seek help from passers-by who will tell you the way. But what if it happens at night, and besides, somewhere in a bear's corner on a long stretch in the middle of forests and fields? In this case, you will have to continue to the nearest settlement in order to try to resolve the issue in the morning.
The trouble is that far from everywhere on your route you will find a repair shop where you can get your electronic device repaired. So you have three ways left: either follow the signs to your destination and periodically stop at the gas station to check with the locals for the correct direction. Or buy maps of the area that will replace your navigator. They are still found on sale at some gas stations in the regions. The last option is to get to the nearest major city to repair the gadget or purchase a new one.
In short, there is only one conclusion: all sledket travelers should stock up on at least additional chargers and wires in advance. And if your path lies very far, then it is better to have a spare working navigator with you. Or, at worst, just buy paper cards.
