What more could you ask for when there is a FRITZ set! MESH?
At the time of receiving the package, which contained the title set, knowing earlier models, I was indifferent to it, but the first long minutes counting down from the moment of launch changed the approach.
Easiest, as fast as possible - if you want to list only the most important features along with the benefits of a set consisting of FRITZ! Box 7530 i FRITZ! Repeater 1200, there would be no place here. It's incredible! Of course, for mid-range equipment designed for a user who expects more than just connecting a computer to the Internet, there is just too much. A router is needed for everything, but contrary to what people say, it is good for nothing. Young people would say "doing the job". Indeed, it does everything it was designed to do and more. But from the start.
In the box, in addition to two devices, there is also a "quick start" flyer in 6 languages. Our standard flaw is Polish. This is already the norm for most manufacturers. However, according to the example of the drawings, it is possible to connect these devices.
The device has built-in ADSL/ADSL 2+/VDSL modem (up to 300 Mbit / s), so for typical telecommunication connections the connection should not be a big problem (unfortunately, such a connection could not be tested) - all the necessary cables are included. The setup process takes place in Polish (which is not so obvious with other manufacturers) and does not present a big problem even for a non-specialist - he can leave most of the settings “by default”. For cable connections - to start the setup, just plug the cable into the LAN1 port, but this will deprive us of one gigabit connector from the hub. It is also possible to connect to the world via a 3G...LTE mobile device, and soon 5G connected via USB.
For communication, we can choose: cable connection (1 Gbps), WLAN standard 802.11ac (up to 866 Mbps, 5 GHz), 802.11n (up to 400 Mbps, 2,4 GHz), Dual WLAN N+AC (both frequencies simultaneously) and guest network (disabled by default). Standard for FRITZ! is a ready-to-use configuration with security features enabled, such as WPA2, or individual hardware and Wi-Fi passwords (of course, they can be changed). So you don't need to install a lot!
The router and repeater use WLAN Mesh technology, which ensures smooth media transmission anywhere in the home network. FRITZ!Devices while working on the same network, exchange information and optimize the performance of other wireless equipment. WLAN Mesh makes it easy to achieve maximum speed when browsing the Internet, watching movies or playing games. 4K materials and your favorite music is waiting for you, and not vice versa. If you have another WLAN Mesh compatible accessory or if you buy one, we will expand the range and of course the options.
Virtually unlimited expansion options are complemented by features such as: built-in telephone exchange for IP connections, allows you to connect up to six DECT cordless phones (encrypted by default), but also includes an analogue phone or fax connector that cannot be physically connected - the software will replace it. The user has several answering machines at his disposal, a phone book with numerous functions that make work easier, which can be synchronized with, for example, Google contacts, media server / NAS, support for all media, USB printer sharing or remote control all of this, for example using an app on a smartphone. The device is ready for IoT management. Finally, the ace in the hole: a 5-year warranty that other manufacturers can't understand.
Some comments would also be helpful. The repeater is wide and covers the adjacent outlet (if any). The built-in antennas inside both devices mean that the signal strength is slightly lower than in the external versions, and the use of a signal extender becomes justified. Price… but others are more expensive and offer much less. Just take it, install it, waste your time and health.
