You approach your luxurious Mercedes. The machine recognizes you already on the way. A light touch on the handle - the door is hospitably open. One press of a button - the engine purrs like a crouching jaguar.
This system allows you to open and close the car, hood or trunk, start and stop the engine with light pressure and touch, without using a key. The car itself recognizes the owner. For the uninitiated, it looks like magic. In fact, everything is simple.
The Keyless-Go system from Mercedes is an electronic driver authorization. It, from a distance of up to 1,5 m, reads data from the chip of a magnetic card, which the driver has with him, for example, in his pocket. As soon as the necessary information is received, the system recognizes the owner and activates the corresponding functions of the lock to be opened.
The electronic authorization system includes the following blocks:
- Transponder. Directly "identifies" the owner. Often it is placed with the key in the same block. In fact, this is an electronic board with a radio signal receiver.
- Signal Receiver - Receives the radio signal from the transponder.
- Touch Sensors - Detects touch on the pen using capacitive pressure.
- Electronic start button - starts the car engine.
- Control unit - provides the owner with access to the car.
Keyless Gow is a descendant of the immobilizer. The distance "key" - "computer" was increased to one and a half meters. Codes - sixteen-digit numeric combinations that they exchange with each other, the manufacturer made special for each car. They are constantly changing according to the algorithm, which is also individual for each machine. The manufacturer claims that it cannot be calculated. If the codes do not match, the machine cannot be accessed. Today, Keyless Go is one of the most reliable anti-theft systems. It is almost impossible to fake a chip in artisanal conditions.

- keep the chip with you at all times;
- if the chip is removed, the car cannot be closed and the engine cannot be started;
- if the chip is removed and the engine is running, the system will generate an error every 3 seconds;
- a chip left in a car allows the engine to be started.
Managing the smart access system is very simple:
1.) To open the car, grasp the handle.
2 options are available:
- central - opens all car doors, gas tank cap and trunk;
- driver's door - provides access to the driver's door, gas tank cap. At the same time, it is worth taking on another door and a central unlocking will occur.
If no door is opened within 40 seconds, the car will automatically lock.
2.) To open the trunk, press the button on the trunk lid.
3.) The car will lock itself if the doors are closed. To force lock the door or trunk - press the appropriate button.
4.) To start the engine, press the brake pedal and the start button. Without a chip inside the cabin, it is not possible to start the engine.
