When buying, I would not advise focusing on a low price. A cheap product carries the risk that the instruments will not accurately read the distance, which in practice can mean a collision with an obstacle that, according to the sensor, is at a safe distance. Sensors can be installed on almost any car - manufacturers offer the appropriate sensors for each type. It is worth noting that most of the sensors available on the market are black. If we want them to look aesthetically pleasing and not spoil the appearance of our car, we can paint them in a color identical to the color of the car (this does not apply to rubber sensors designed for steel bumpers).
Is it worth it to install parking sensors yourself? You can, but only if you are confident in your skills, technical knowledge and the right tools. On the Internet, we can find many instructions on how to install the sensors yourself. Unfortunately, this is often very unfortunate. The consequences can range from aesthetic (unevenly filled sensors) to severe damage from a short circuit.
You should also remember that if you install the sensors yourself, we risk losing the warranty on the device. In the event of a complaint, the manufacturer may accuse us of not having carried out the installation in accordance with the instructions. If we order installation at a service center, the warranty covers both devices and service, so the installation of sensors should be entrusted to a professional.
Parking sensors do not require special care, it is enough to regularly monitor their cleanliness and visit the service if we notice any violations in their use (for example, automatic activation). However, it is worth remembering that on the road and when maneuvering, nothing can replace the skill, vigilance and common sense of the driver.
