What does the markings in the form of transverse stripes on the highway mean?

Unlike other road markings, noise strips do not affect the visual, but the tactile sensation of the driver. This largely ensures its greater efficiency, since the likelihood that the markup will go unnoticed is almost zero. Even if the driver loosens his attention during monotonous traffic on the road, such markings, in the absence of a decrease in speed, will allow the driver to feel the shaking in the car, which will force him to reduce the speed to a limited one.
Why noise strips are needed
The introduction of noise strips is intended to prevent accidents on dangerous sections of the road, where increased concentration of attention is required. If speed bumps caused significant damage to vehicles, then replacing them with noise strips is safe for vehicle suspension, but the noise effect and shaking from it are much stronger. Neither the driver nor the passenger of the vehicle can fail to notice it.
By significantly reducing the number of accidents and the involvement of pedestrians in emergency situations, noise strips have become a reliable tool for ensuring road safety.
