What is a blower and how does it work?

In order for the supercharger to do its job, it must be connected to the engine with a belt and pulley so that it is powered by the machine's own rotation. As soon as the air begins to circulate, the internal rotors of the supercharger compress it and direct it into the combustion chamber.

Automakers have developed many ways to allow internal combustion engines to instantly gain more power and speed.

One of the most popular ways in which an internal combustion engine can produce power is through supercharger. In recent years, manufacturers have begun to use more superchargers and they steer clear of such big engines, while not only offering cheaper cars, but also adhering to environmental laws.

What's happened supercharger

Un supercharger This is a compressor installed in an internal combustion engine to create pressurization, which increases its power density.

Supercharger power is provided mechanically using belts, chains, or shafts connected to the engine's crankshaft. This device helps squeeze out the same amount of air that a larger engine naturally inhales into a smaller engine so they can generate the same amount of power when the rider's foot hits the ground.

Advantages supercharger

1.- The greatest dignity supercharger it's its immediate action from the low rev range. There are no delays or delays in power delivery.

2.- Even though it is a very demanding component, it is reliable and relatively easy to control in terms of temperature.

3.- Unlike turbochargerIt doesn't need to be lubricated.

Disadvantages supercharger

1.- Being connected directly through the engine pulleys, it can reduce its power.

2.- Its maintenance must be permanent and carried out by a specialist

3.- High maintenance costs

4.- Its constant action creates a load on the engine, which can accelerate its wear. Preventing this involves constant maintenance, especially if it is a track or drag racing vehicle.
