Rethreader is a manual tool for cleaning and repairing threaded holes; similar to a screwdriver, but with a different tip.
The protrusions on screws, bolts, rods and their corresponding nuts or holes are called threads.
Flows can be internal or external and differ by gender. External threads, such as those on screws and bolts, are external, while internal threads, such as those on nuts and holes, are internal. The external thread matches the internal thread. Although the male and female threads are formed using different tools, the structure is the same (if you turn the female thread inside out, it will be the same as the male thread, and vice versa).
Over time, threads can become damaged and may require repair. It is important to have a clean straight thread so that the mating of the male and female threads is smooth and the connection is formed correctly and reliably. Once a thread is damaged, continued use will cause more and more damage until the thread becomes unusable.
The winder restores the internal thread. He does this by straightening existing strands rather than forming new ones.
Another purpose of needle threaders is to clear clogged and dirty internal threads. As the threads of the winder and the internal threads interlock, the re-cutting device expels the debris. It is important that the threads are clean so that the male threads can lock properly when inserted.
Retraders require little care and maintenance, can be stored with all other tools, and may need a quick wipe down from time to time, but are usually left as is.
