So that the stove on Kalina warms up better!

If on your Kalina the stove suddenly began to warm up badly and you feel that the interior does not warm up as quickly as before, then there may be a problem in the air flow control flap. This problem is quite common among Kalina owners and manifests itself in many after a couple of years of operation after purchase.

That is, when the heater switch is fully switched to the “hot” mode, the damper does not open completely and, accordingly, heat is lost and there is no longer the effect that was before at the outlet of the deflectors. To correct this situation, you need to perform the following upgrade.

Tighten a small spring, hooking it on the damper lever with one end, and with the other end on the protrusion on the stove body. The stiffness of the spring should be sufficient so that the damper is pressed tightly, but not so strong that the lever from the "cold" position does not spontaneously return to the "warm" position.

To show how it all looks, I took a few photos of this modernization. All this is on the driver's side, just above the gas pedal, on the right:

After such a simple improvement, the stove will heat up much better than before. If you look the facts in the eye, the temperature at the outlet of the deflectors rises from 5 to 10 degrees. It has been tested with a tester that instantly records temperature changes.

For this procedure, you will need a spring about 5 cm long and a pair of pliers:

That is, we change the length of the spring by biting off the extra turns, or vice versa. stretch it to the desired length. After a few tries, the stove will work amazingly! Personally, I was pleased with the work done.

    Thanks for the advice, I checked it on my car, and it's true - the damper did not open completely, now it's hot 🙂

    This problem disappeared for me when I changed the cabin filter and the blowing became stronger and the flow became more powerful and warmer, especially in the weak side nozzles. Rodnoy did not change for 2 years.
