Citroen C3 1.4 16V HDi XTR

Otherwise, if we're not mistaken, the name Mehari is Arabic or possibly Tuareg meaning "camel woman". Just as a camel is a Bedouin's best friend, a reliable and unpretentious car is an adventurer's friend.

But the limited-edition XTR isn't a true SUV. It's just a slightly different equipped C3 that has a belly 3 inches off the ground, stronger plastic protection around the car, and something small under the engine. This means that with the C3 XTR, you will be able to drive over bad rubble without problems, straight through the terrain, and you don't have to "rush" over broken rails. The diesel engine only powers the front pair of wheels, which means only the help of a nearby farmer with a tractor will save you from the mud.

Last but not least, this car is not even designed for such strenuous driving, as we have a strong impression that all this extra protection, which is given very well by the C3, is more of a lipstick than real protection (well, protection from small branches or stones really help and what not). An adventurous touch in today's stream of very similar cars, especially the C3s, means a pleasant refreshment, and the owner of such a car makes it clear that everything that is tested and ordinary does not bother him, he prefers to try something new, preferably as crazy as possible.

Our little mehari is definitely true. The panoramic roof offers a view of the starry sky, the interior is modern and sheathed with more durable materials, it is full of drawers, in short, it looks like it's fresh from the new Lara Croft movie. Well, yes, we also very picturesquely represent Angelina Jolie in this car, but more on that another time.

Passengers (most likely children) in the rear will experience the usefulness of a foldable airplane table in addition to comfortable seats, and the driver (say mom or dad) will easily control what young people are doing with a creative wide-angle mini rear-view mirror species. The trunk is a little less sophisticated, but all the switching options do not help it to a larger volume. Its volume is mostly 305 liters, but it can be increased to 1.310 liters with the seats folded down.

I was pleased with the moderate consumption, which with the 1-liter HDi engine did not exceed six liters, which, by the way, is an excellent choice for this car. Average fuel consumption was 4 liters per 5 kilometers.

Given the price of the base model, which costs 3 million tolars, the C5 XTR is a very creative car for people who want to be different and drive an unusual car. But maybe you can even go with him to the Sahara on camels.
