Citroen Australia has fixed a new model for its lineup: the third-generation C4 small car, which will bring its traditional hatchback and sedan SUVs to local showrooms from mid-November.

Unveiled last June, the latest C4 is a hatchback sedan that rides high like an SUV that has been the body style of choice for Australian new car buyers for years.

At 4360mm long (with a 2670mm wheelbase), 1800mm wide and 1525mm high, the C4 is significantly taller than most of its competitors, in part because of its 156mm ground clearance. However, the trunk volume is at the same level - 380 liters.

The C4 will be offered locally in a single variant, powered by a 114kW/240Nm 1.2-liter turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive through an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Keyless entry, push-button start and a flip-up head-up display will be among the C4's standard inclusions, while its suspension will feature Citroen's signature progressive hydraulic cushion that provides a "flying carpet ride."

The advanced driver assistance systems in the C4 will be expanded to autonomous emergency braking (with pedestrian and cyclist detection), lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control (with stop and go), driver attention warning, blind spot monitoring and lane cameras. review. .
