CityScoot Raises € 40 Million to Fund Its Self-Service Electric Scooters

After receiving € 15 million in the summer of 2016, Cityscoot announces a new € 40 million financial deal.

Associated with historic Cityscoot shareholders, the RATP group, through its subsidiary RATP Capital Innovation and InVenture Partners, carried out this new operation, which should enable the Ile-de-France operator to expand its fleet to 5000 electric scooters by the end of the year. 'year.

Launched in Paris in June 2016, Cityscoot now boasts 1600 electric scooters. In addition to expanding to other municipalities in the inner suburbs, Cityscoot is also looking to expand its network to other European cities. After the opening of the service in Nice in spring, the operator indicates that three more cities will receive the service in France and Europe, citing Switzerland and Italy.
