This new 48-volt platform, co-developed, will be powered by the German brand's 2020 models.

Specially adapted to fit Kalkhoff e-bikes, the 48-volt system from German supplier Continental is based on hardware and software innovations jointly developed by two partners.

Powered by two electric bikes from Kalkhoff's 2020 range - Endeavor 3.C and Image 3.C - the system relies on a 660Wh battery built into the frame that powers the motor unit, which has been boosted to 75Nm of torque. In addition to this technical update, Continental and Kalkhoff have improved the software system to offer three selectable assistance modes: range, balance and power.

The innovations are complemented by a new screen called XT 2.0. Compliant with the Bluetooth standard, it can be linked to a free app allowing the user to track information that varies based on the remaining range, distance traveled, or travel history.

As for the price, consider 2399 € for Endeavor 3.C and 2699 € for Image 3.C.
