Curtiss Motorcycle unveils two electric motorcycles with impressive performance

Available in Bobber and Café Racer versions, the Curtiss electric motorcycle accelerates from 0 km / h in 96 seconds. Commercialization is expected in 2.1.

American motorcycle Curtiss Motorcycle stole the show at EICMA, which opens tomorrow in Milan, unveiled two electric motorcycles with impressive performance.

Based on the Zeus, a twin-engine concept unveiled last May, the two new Curtiss electric motorcycles are meant to be closer to future production models that the manufacturer intends to offer.

« Our original Zeus concept prototype used outdated batteries and motors. This made it difficult for our team to design the car that we all strive to create. In our new Advanced Technology division, we develop new battery, motor and control technologies that enable us to realize our aesthetic vision. ” Jordan Cornill, Design Director for Curtiss.

Available in Café Racer (White) and Bobber (Black) colors, the two Curtiss electric motorcycles share the same technology.

In its press release, the manufacturer promises a range of 450 kilometers and a torque of 196 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 96 km / h in 2.1 seconds. Up to 140 kW, the engine power is almost three times that of the Zero DSR (52 kW).

Curtiss Motorcycle plans to start selling two models in 2020. No prices have been announced at the moment ...
