Dacia Logan MCV dCi 85 Black Line (7 months)

7 These Romanian products are very kind. In the 21st century, when the global automotive industry is developing and implementing many different technologies related to blue driving, hybrid energy, green socket and similar technologies, Renault, sorry Dacia, has adopted at least a decade (if not two) old technology. on the road, turning around. in simple tin and offered for smart money. The last time we wanted to see the Duster live at the Kranj showroom (an acquaintance is seriously interested in buying one), the salesperson replied that they didn't have a sample or test car - because they were sold out! The recipe works.

The most interesting thing is the reaction of passers-by who flinch at Dacia and ask this or that. A dialogue with a local resident, or he was vacationing in Silo na Krka, went something like this (I will translate this into Slovenian, because our southern neighbor cannot speak our language to us):

“Good afternoon, how much does it cost,” began the fat old man.

“About 13 euros, I think,” I replied, and continuing to calmly look at the sheet metal, he added that it is very good to drive, but it does not have much equipment.

“Is there an air conditioner? So, ABS? Power windows and remote central locking? He was interested, and of course the test Logan had it all. However, it only has two airbags and, for example, lacks ESP and cruise control.

“So why do I need this! He waved his hand, greeted me and left.

Understand? Such is the reality! Some people don't care what a car looks like or what advanced technology it has. It is important to drive a car, and as cheaply as possible. In this, Logan is a champion.

It is powered by a 1-litre turbodiesel that has never been tested by Renault or Nissan. You don't need any more, trust me. It doesn't have a noticeable turbo bore (it's better than the more powerful DCs in that respect), it's usable from 5rpm and has a decent cruising speed (engine revs in fifth gear at 2.000km/h at about 130rpm). / min) and does not consume a lot of fuel. This is its volume or poor soundproofing of the cabin. It's not a tractor, but worse than, say, the Klia. The seats are just decently firm and provide solid body support except for the sides, which is understandable since the Logan is not a cornering machine. Goes there as if the serial Barum Briliantis was winter ...

All four windows are electrically adjustable, but the switches are unusually set: a pair of front window switches are on the center console (okay, we're still digesting that), and the switches for second row passengers are between the front seats, so rear passengers can work with both (bare) feet. From an economic point of view, this is understandable, since Dacia saves on switches (only four instead of seven!) And wiring (yes, copper is not cheap). Inside, we even find a "cassette player" with a steering wheel that reads mp3 discs and speakers in the front and rear doors, better than most vans.

During the final production, ugly protruding wires under the hood and painting errors are striking: a needle was found under the paint on the front left door, and when the sheets touch along the edge, traces of spot welding are visible. roof.

In the trunk of the test Logan "black line" there was a bench for two additional passengers, which when folded does not take up much space and is very easy to place. Access to the back row is difficult, but this "emergency" bench has enough room for a grandfather who is 188 centimeters tall. No kidding! When placed on a bench, the trunk is reduced to a volume that can only hold a couple of small backpacks or a few shopping bags.

Do you want to know how we spent our vacation? Six of us went to the beach and back together, and Dacia did not complain about bad (gravel) roads, on the contrary, the more “gypsy” tracks, the more comfortable.

Here's my advice: first you must like the number next to the letters E, U and R. Then you must forgive her for all the qualities listed next to the inverted red triangles and all you have to do is visit a Dacia showroom. Are you not confused by the boring design and dashboard (including the steering wheel levers) from the old Clio? Here's a car.

  • Even though it is the best equipped Logan, it still remains a vehicle for undemanding buyers, for those with a car and nothing more. Its advantages are spaciousness and low purchase and maintenance costs, but it still has many disadvantages compared to modern cars.
