Prerequisite
If you get a brake wear warning on your dashboard, you should replace your brake pads and discs as needed.
The brake pad wear sensor should only be replaced when the brake pads are replaced.
Instructions
- Raise the car. Support it with rack jacks. Install new brake pads.
- Install a new brake pad wear sensor.
Insert the new sensor into the small hole in the brake shoe.
- Connect a new brake pad wear sensor.
- Restart the vehicle and make sure the brake pad wear warning is disabled. If not, check if the new Mercedes brake pad wear sensor is installed correctly.
