After that, the remaining hoses, already empty, are disconnected and the upper case of the distributor is unscrewed, which is fixed with six bolts. The removed distributor is cleaned of deposits formed, and the thermostat located in it is changed and installed in its place. It is better to install the distributor on a new gasket.

Change the main thermostat

Start a cold engine to check the main valve. Put your hand on the thick hose near the thermostat cover, it should be cool. After the engine warms up, the hose heats up quickly, 80-85 degrees coolant has passed a large circuit. If, with a good coolant temperature sensor and engine control unit, the main thermostat tube heats up for a long time or remains cold, replace the valve.

The next step is to replace the Qashqai cooling thermostat. It is located next to the generator under a plastic cover, fixed with two bolts, which is disassembled with a key of 10. After replacing the part, the cover is put in place, and the previously removed pipes are put in place and crimped with clamps.
