Parking sensors

Parking sensorsParking sensors are used to make parking easier and easier, especially in densely populated urban areas. They are installed not only in the rear, but also in the front bumper.

The sensors are recessed and do not protrude. The outer surface of the sensors usually does not exceed 10 mm and can be painted in the color of the vehicle. The transducer monitors the area at a distance of approximately 150 cm. The system uses the sonar principle. The sensors send an ultrasonic signal with a frequency of about 40 kHz, based on the analysis of the reflected waves, the control unit estimates the actual distance to the nearest obstacle. The distance to the obstacle is calculated by the control unit based on information from at least two sensors. The distance to an obstacle is indicated by a beep, or it displays the current situation behind or in front of the vehicle on the LED / LCD display.

An audible signal warns the driver with an audible signal that an obstacle is approaching. The frequency of the warning signal gradually increases as the vehicle approaches an obstacle. A continuous acoustic signal sounds at a distance of about 30 cm to warn of the danger of impact. The sensors are activated when reverse gear is engaged or when a switch is pressed in the vehicle. The system can also include a night vision reversing camera connected to a color LCD to display the situation behind the vehicle. Installation of this miniature parking camera is only possible for vehicles equipped with a multifunction display (eg navigation displays, television displays, car radios with LCD displays ...). With such a high-quality and full-color miniature camera, you will see a wide field of view behind the car, which means you will see all the obstacles when parking or reversing.
