Test drive Dayton expands the range of trucks

Dayton tires are manufactured in Europe by Bridgestone, the world's # 1 tire manufacturer.

Dayton is launching two new products in the truck tire segment: the Dayton D550S midsize steering axle and the D650D mid-range drive axles.

Dayton tires are manufactured in Europe by Bridgestone, the world's leading tire manufacturer, to provide transport owners with high-quality performance at the best value for money-driven transport operators. And because Dayton tires benefit from Bridgestone's processes and quality control, vehicle owners can rest assured that they are using durable, high-quality tires that they can rely on no matter the conditions.

Steven De Bock, OE Director and Sales Representative for Bridgestone Europe, says: “These two new products provide Dayton with greater coverage in the price-leading European truck segment. With the support of Bridgestone, Dayton has successfully achieved an excellent position in terms of reliability and efficiency. "

New Dayton D550S Steer and D650D Drive Tires for Medium Trucks

The new D550S and D650D mid-size tires are designed for light (3,5 to 7 tonnes) and medium-heavy (7,5 to 16 tonnes) trucks popular in the regional distribution, car rental, household moving and construction industries.

These vehicles usually drive in urban environments and on regional routes, less often on motorways. That's why the new Dayton tires are designed to meet the challenges of curbs, stop-start and numerous short trips on a variety of road surfaces.

The D550S steer tire is a tough tire that combines good uneven wear resistance with reliable wet and dry performance. Rubber elements from the destruction of stones in the grooves of the tread add additional value, helping to keep the body in good condition for regeneration.

The D650D drive axle tires provide good traction and quick braking, and the linkage elements in the lever help minimize block sharpening.

Both tire types are lightweight, which reduces weight and fuel consumption without compromising durability. Drivers can also count on consistent quality throughout the year as both tire types are labeled M + S (Mud & Snow) and 3PMSF (Snow Flake with three peaks).

From October 2017, the D550S and D650D models will be available in Europe in base sizes 215 / 75R17.5 and 265 / 70R19.5 for light and medium-duty vehicles. The assortment will be expanded next year.

Dayton customers can also rely on the expertise and experience of the Bridgestone partner network, an independent network of truck tire dealers and truck tire distributors in Europe.
