Diesel fuel: price per liter at gas stations today

Almost all trucks and many passenger cars in Russia are refueled with diesel fuel. The owners of large transport fleets and carrier companies are closely monitoring the dynamics of diesel prices.

Today, a paradoxical situation has developed in Russia: oil prices are falling, reaching anti-records, while fuel is not going to become cheaper. If we analyze the graphs showing the dynamics of growth in prices for diesel fuel, then with the naked eye one can notice a constant increase:

  • in 2008, a liter of diesel fuel cost about 19-20 rubles;
  • in 2009-2010 the price fell to 18-19 rubles - the fall is explained by the end of the economic crisis;
  • since 2011, a stable price increase begins - in January 2011, the price jumped to 26 rubles;
  • in 2012 it grew from 26 to 31 rubles;
  • 2013 - the cost fluctuated between 29-31 rubles;
  • 2014 - 33-34;
  • 2015-2016 - 34-35.

Any person, of course, will be interested in the question: why is diesel not getting cheaper? This is a rather complicated question, the main factors leading to a rise in price can be given:

  • ruble instability;
  • falling demand for gasoline and diesel fuel;
  • introduction of additional taxes on fuel;
  • Russian oil companies are thus trying to compensate for their losses from the global fall in oil prices.

Diesel fuel: price per liter at gas stations today

It is worth noting that in Russia the situation with fuel is not the most difficult - with the dollar almost doubling in price and the price per barrel falling from $120 to $35-40, the increase in diesel fuel prices since 2008 by only 15-20 rubles is not the worst index. In many CIS countries, the cost of a liter of diesel or AI-95 gasoline has increased by 2-3 times over the same period of time.

As you can see, the difference is insignificant - within 2 rubles. Pay attention to the fact that the price is directly related to the quality of the fuel. Thus, high prices at Lukoil gas stations are explained by the fact that, according to numerous ratings, Lukoil is the supplier of the highest quality fuel - both gasoline and diesel - on the territory of the Russian Federation.

The rating of gas station chains in terms of fuel quality for 2015-2016 is as follows:

  1. Lukoil;
  2. Gazpromneft;
  3. Shell;
  4. TNK;
  5. British Petroleum (BP);

Diesel fuel: price per liter at gas stations today

If you fill your car with diesel, you probably noticed that today there is both ordinary diesel fuel and diesel fuel +, which complies with the Euro 4 European toxicity standard. The difference in price between these types is minimal, but there are certain differences in the chemical composition:

  • less sulfur;
  • less paraffins;
  • to improve performance up to 10-15% is an additive from rapeseed oil - biodiesel;
  • additives that prevent freezing of fuel at frosts below 20 degrees.

Thanks to these characteristics, Euro-diesel pollutes the environment less, burns out faster and almost completely in the piston chambers, and minimal CO2 emissions. Drivers who fill in DT + note that the engine runs more evenly, less soot is formed on candles and on cylinder walls, and engine power increases noticeably.

Pay attention to this moment - on Vodi.su we have already talked about how you can reduce the cost of buying fuel by purchasing fuel cards of a particular gas station network.
