diesel catalyst A catalytic converter is a device that is used to reduce the emission of harmful components into exhaust gases and is also used in diesel engines.

For more than 20 years, car manufacturers have been using catalytic converters in the exhaust systems of gasoline engines. Since a catalytic converter is a device that is used to reduce the emission of harmful components into exhaust gases, it is also used in diesel engines. diesel catalyst

The diesel engine emits soot, hydrocarbons, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and metals: calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc due to the principle of operation and the fuel used. A widely used oxidation catalyst can reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by 98 percent, hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions by more than 80 percent.

The Euro IV standard has been in force since 2005. In the exhaust systems of diesel engines, the installation of catalysts and a particulate filter will be a necessity, possibly an additional catalyst will be added to neutralize nitrogen oxides.
