In the case of a Peugeot 750, an air conditioner ordered for a new car costs PLN 206 and for a used car it costs PLN 4, while the cost of the device itself is about PLN 390. zloty. 
You can also install air conditioning in a used car, but such an operation costs about 7-8 thousand. zloty. When deciding to install, remember that the air conditioner "takes" from one to several kilowatts of power, depriving cars with low-power engines of dynamics and contributing to an increase in fuel consumption by an average of 1 liter per 100 kilometers.
The air conditioning system must be checked periodically. During it, you should replace the cabin filter, check the pressure in the system and, if necessary, add coolant. It is equally important to decontaminate the airflow path into the cabin. Microorganisms and fungi that develop in the system can cause allergic reactions and even inflammation of the respiratory tract.
Every two to three years, the filter drier is replaced, which filters the lubricating oil and collects water from the system that can damage the compressor.
Service of the air conditioning system can be carried out at authorized vehicle service stations during scheduled maintenance or at specialized workshops. The prices for air conditioner maintenance at an authorized service station are around PLN 500-600, while at another workshop we will pay around PLN 200-400.
The task of the air conditioner is to lower the temperature of the air and reduce its humidity, which means that the windows do not evaporate when it rains. As experts recommend, the air conditioner should be used all year round, including in winter, so as not to damage the compressor.
