For the past 10 years, the American crossover has been rolling off the assembly line, and it seems it’s not going to “retire”. The update, which the model recently received, concerns only facelift.

The purpose of the changes is to emphasize the sporty character of the vehicle. As a power unit for the Hellcat, a 8-liter Hemi V6.2 turbocharged engine is used. With some modifications, this unit is able to develop 720 hp, and the torque reaches 875 Nm (for Challenger and Charger sports cars, these figures are slightly less - 717 hp and 881 Nm). Transmission 8-speed TorqueFlite 95HP8.

The updated SRT takes 11,5 seconds to cover a distance of 402 meters - a few tenths less than the Nissan GT-R supercar. Dodge with dual transmission weighs up to 3946 kg (depending on configuration). The model comes with Pirelli tires: Scorpion Zero or P-Zero, rims - 21 inches. Brakes are a six-piston Brembo caliper at 400mm up front and a four-piston caliper at 350mm at the rear.

Two interior options are available for Hellcat - in red or black. The multimedia center is equipped with the largest touch screen in this class (10,1-inch diagonal). With the new software, the driver can change the sports characteristics of the car depending on the characteristics of the road.

At the moment, Durango can be safely called the most powerful sports cross. Dodge with three rows of seats accelerates from zero to 97 km / h in about 3,5 seconds. Lamborghini breaks this barrier in 3,6 seconds, but as a top speed it is still the fastest at 305 km/h versus 290 km/h for the American. The "cat" SRT also differs from previous versions with its improved adaptive suspension. Sales of new items will start early next year.

A new touchpad is located next to the driver. Behind the automatic transmission gear lever is a platform for wirelessly charging mobile devices. The standard versions of the updated Durango feature seats, steering wheel design and decor.

Modifications SXT and GT are equipped with a V-shaped unit for 6 cylinders (volume 3.6l) Pentastar (power is 299 hp, and torque - 353 Nm). For the R / T version, the manufacturer left the Hemi V8 5.7 (365 hp, 529 Nm). SRT modifications with Hemi V8 6.4 (482 horses and 637 Nm) are all-wheel drive only, the rest can be configured for the rear-wheel drive version. Updated versions will be released this fall.
