Dodge Viper outsold Ford Mustang Mach-E in 2020

Even though its production was halted four years ago, Viper has managed to maintain its supply lead throughout 2020.

Termination Dodge Viper leaves fans across America saddened by the disappearance of the V10 sports car. However, almost four years after its cancellation, the new Vipers continue to be sold across the country. Unusually, this supercar sells better than the new model. According to CarBuzz, discontinued units managed to sell more new units than the .

Four of these sports cars were sold in 2020, though keep in mind that this was nearly four years after production ended. As a result, the cars currently on sale are old cars that have been in dealerships for several years. Despite this, hungry buyers continue to snap up these cars, despite the fact that none of them are advertised online.

This Dodge Viper trend isn't even new. In fact, five new Vipers were sold in 2019. According to CarSalesBase, 2018 was an even better year for the discontinued beast, with 19 vehicles sold. However, as vehicles continue to sell out and inventory continues to dwindle, there probably won't be many of these vehicles left in stock.

Despite this, the Dodge Viper continues to outsell other discontinued models and even the new one.

Ford Mustang Mach-E just did not have time

While this Dodge Viper story may seem a little tongue-in-cheek, there's no denying that 2020 has been a rough year for the Ford Mustang Mach-E. This is because the first batch of electric SUVs was expected to arrive by the end of 2020. Exact trim levels will include $42,895 Select, $47,000 Premium and $1 California Route.

Despite this predictable schedule, the electrified Mustang could not keep up with the Dodge Viper. This is because it reportedly only managed to sell three of these SUVs in 2020. Note that this does not mean that there is not enough sales for this model; it's just those who were able to deliver. Despite this, there have been more deliveries of the Dodge Viper in 2020 than the new Mach-E.
