DSC - Dynamic Stability Control

BMW's active stability control safety system, DSC is a suspension control system that goes beyond the individual components of ABS, CBC and ASC+T.

DSC continuously compares vehicle speed, wheel speed, steering angle and yaw rate with data from probable and optimal driving conditions as a guide. In a fraction of a second, the DSC recognizes any danger of instability and slippage. DSC can correct unstable driving conditions by applying precise braking actions to the wheels. As with the ASC, DSC will reduce the engine speed as needed to automatically stabilize the vehicle.

For its work see ESP.
