A series of BMW N20 gasoline engines of 1.6 and 2.0 liters was produced from 2011 to 2018 and was installed on the vast majority of compact and medium-sized models of that time. Especially for the US automotive market, an environmentally friendly modification of the N26B20 was offered.
The R4 range includes: M10, M40, M43, N42, N43, N45, N46, N13 and B48.
