The GM LY4.8 or Vortec 8 2-liter V4800 engine was produced by the company from 2006 to 2017 and was installed on Tahoe and Yukon SUVs, Silverado pickups, Express and Savana minibuses. In 2009, this unit received a variable valve timing system and its L20 index.
The Vortec IV line also includes internal combustion engines: LY5, LFA and L92.
