The 1,6-liter VAZ 21114 gasoline engine is a modified version of the popular VAZ 1,5-liter 2111 engine.

The 1,6-liter 8-valve VAZ 21114 engine was produced by the concern from 2004 to 2013 and, in fact, was a further development of the well-known 1,5-liter VAZ 2111 power unit. A motor of a similar design for a number of other AvtoVAZ models had its own index 11183.

The VAZ 8V line also includes internal combustion engines: 11182, 11183, 11186, 11189 and 21116.

Design features of the engine Lada 21114 8 valves

This motor is essentially a further development of the well-known VAZ 2111 unit. The designers, first of all, slightly increased the height of the cylinder block, as well as the piston stroke, as a result of the modernization, the working volume of this power unit increased from 1.5 to 1.6 liters. Also, pair-parallel fuel injection was abandoned here in favor of a phased one. A lot of work has been done by AvtoVAZ engineers in terms of reducing emissions, and the latest modifications of this engine even fit into modern EURO 4 standards.

On another conveyor of the plant in Tolyatti, a similar motor with the VAZ 11183 index was produced. The differences between the engines were in a different flywheel, crankcase, starter and clutch basket. Otherwise, both motors were absolutely identical, but were intended for different models.
