The 2.5-liter Volkswagen BPE 2.5 TDI diesel engine was produced from 2006 to 2009 and was installed on the first generation of the Tuareg SUV in a restyled modification. This diesel engine is essentially an updated version of a similar engine under the BAC index.
The EA153 series includes: AAB, AJT, ACV, AXG, AXD, AXE, BAC, AJS and AYH.

BPE Flaws, Breakdowns, and Problems
The updated aluminum block is also prone to scuffing like its predecessor.
