Wipers. How often to replace?

Wipers. How often to replace? Windshield wipers are one of the best examples of the large discrepancy between manufacturers' recommendations and the actual lifespan of drivers. It is worth considering how long one set is allowed to be used and how this affects the quality of driving.

Wipers. How often to replace?Wipers are a very important part of a car, because we monitor them almost all the time, and they are our main weapon in weather protection. Their manufacturers recommend replacing them six months after installation, but for most drivers, this period probably seems like an abstraction. In reality, much depends on the number of cycles performed, as well as the intensity of mechanical contamination.

“The driver can extend the life of the wipers if he regularly cleans and degreases the glass,” says Maciej Nowopolski, spokesman for the Polish wiper brand Oximo.

The editors recommend:

– Testing the new Fiat Tipo (VIDEO)

– A new car with air conditioning for PLN 42.

– Driver-friendly multimedia system

A janitor is not the same as a janitor. It is worth paying attention to whether the adapter to which the wiper rail is attached is made of metal or plastic. The question is also whether the rail itself is made of galvanized steel or some weaker material. The most innovative mats also feature a blend of polymers with carbon fibers for increased resistance to mechanical damage, and an additional layer of silicone to help maintain washability in extreme weather conditions.

 - Many times it turns out that the reason for the lack of replacement of wipers is not in finances, but in the indecision of the driver. For example, the difficulty of finding the right wiper model for your car is enough to give up or put it off until later, Maciej Nowopolski adds.
