Causes affecting the exhaust gas temperature
The exhaust gas temperature can rise / fall for a number of reasons:
- Mixture problems. Too poor cools the combustion chamber and, accordingly, leads to a decrease in the EGT temperature. If the mixture, on the contrary, is rich, then as a result of this, fuel starvation, loss of power and a decrease in the EGT temperature occur.
- Also, an increased EGT may indicate a faulty ignition system.
