The star of the American brand's booth at EICMA, the Harley-Davidson electric motorcycle has just made its debut on European soil. An opportunity for the American brand to tell a little more about the characteristics of this first electric motorcycle. 

The LiveWire project, which began in 2014, is taking shape. Harley's first electric motorcycle, presented in production at EICMA in Milan, clarifies its characteristics.

On the bike side, the brand is announcing fully adjustable Showa suspension, SFF-BP forks, BFRC-Lite shock, Brembo brakes and Michelin Scrorcher tires in size 120 front and 180 rear. 

When using, it will be possible to choose one of 7 driving modes, 3 of which can be personalized. As for the hardware, the manufacturer confirms the presence of ABS and a color TFT touch screen that can be connected to a smartphone.

Charging Rapide Combo CCS

If we don't yet know the power, autonomy and battery capacity of this upcoming electric motorcycle, Harley Davidson is opening the door to recharging. In addition to the availability of an on-board AC charger, the manufacturer confirms the presence of the DC fast charging combo connector, however, without specifying to what power level the electric motorcycle can be charged. 

As for the battery part, the battery used to power the power plant will be supplemented with a 12 V unit to power auxiliary equipment such as lighting systems. A configuration already found on conventional electric vehicles.

About 25.000 euros

In 2019, LiveWire is expected to be available to order early next year. 

According to the Italian press, its price should be around 25.000 euros.
