Elation Freedom, an all-electric Latin-accented supercar to be built in the US.

Elation Hypercars has published details of the Elation Freedom, the first electric car hand-built by a team of Argentines in the USA, with unique features and the ability to develop up to 1,900 hp.

Delight Hypercarsbased in Northern California, USA, presented its model Elation Freedom after five years of research and development. Elation Freedom will bring to life the joint vision of the founder and General Director of the company Carlos Satulovsky, as well as its Argentinean team of engineers and designers.

El hypercar, designed, tested and manufactured in Silicon Valley, is an American product fueled by the same passion that inspired Argentine automotive luminaries such as racing driver Juan Manuel Fangio and automaker Allejandro de Tomaso. For Satulovsky, this "trans-American philosophy" gives his team a distinct edge, combining Argentina's motorsport DNA with Silicon Valley's technological innovation.

Elation Hypercars is the brainchild of Satulovsky and his business partner Mauro Saraviawho met in 1985 while living in Argentina. His original plans to build an ultralight aircraft factory changed with the political environment, with Saravia winning a racing car championship and Satulovsky becoming interested in aviation.

"Before I got my driver's license, I flew planes in Argentina, but then I headed to the United States and ended up piloting an international widebody 747," Satulovsky said in an interview. In 2014, they both decided it was time to finally work together on a new project. "We ask the designer Pablo Barragan join us,” continues Satulovsky, “and together we decided to create the Elation Hypercars team, which will bring our automotive masterpiece to life. Elation Freedom is America's first handcrafted luxury electric hypercar.».

What are the features of Elation Freedom?

Performance goals are time 0 to 62 mph in 1.8 seconds and a 260 mph top speed. It is planned that the flight range will be up to 400 miles, depending on the additional battery. To achieve this, the Freedom model is built around a patented, ultra-light carbon and Kevlar monocoque. Like Freedom's sleek exterior with active variable pitch aerodynamics, the chassis is built in-house from the finest raw carbon fiber sourced from the Venetian manufacturer.

Freedom offers more than 1427 hp. Through the use three electric motors magnet synchronous liquid-cooled permanent engines developed in conjunction with Cascadia Motion. Four-engine configuration with over 1,900 hpwill also be an option.

The 100kWh (or upgraded 120kWh) T-shaped battery pack sits low in the case for optimal stability and heat management. The front axle is equipped with a single-speed transmission, while the rear is equipped with a two-speed one, while the proprietary software implements selectable driving modes: "Freedom" mode ensures maximum performance.

A car designed for regular roads and Formula 1 tracks.

Although the Freedom model is designed for highway use, equipped with a titanium double-wishbone suspension inspired by Formula 1, which allows it to excel on the track.. The stability control software works with the torque vector control system to provide additional levels of redundancy and safety. Designed for global homologation and exceeding the traffic accident regulations set out in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, the car will meet the most stringent safety requirements of the International Automobile Federation at Le Mans Prototype 1 (FIA LMP1).

“We believe that the Elation experience is not only about luxury, but also about engineering precision,” explains Satulovsky. The fighter jet-style cabin with gullwing doors is made from carbon fiber and natural materials such as leather, and customers can choose internal controls and switches cast in precious metals to express their personal aesthetic sensibility.

With the feasibility study, design, simulation, and design phases completed, Elation will continue its prototype testing, verification, and homologation programs. At the same time, it is building capacity to start producing a very limited number of cars at a cost of $2 million each.

It is assumed that production will start in the fourth quarter of 2022. In addition, a variant of the Elation Freedom Iconic collection will be available. Powered by a 10-litre V-5.2 engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
