Elegant monitor with design elements - Philips 278E8QJAB

More and more monitors with a curved screen appear on the market, allowing you to work comfortably by equalizing the distance between individual sections of the screen and our eyes. When using such a device, our eyesight is less tired, which is of great importance for health. One of the available models is the Philips 278E8QJAB monitor, 27 inches diagonal, with standard Full HD, with a set of D-Sub, HDMI, audio cables and a power supply.

The device made a good impression on me from the very beginning. It looks great on a desk and has built-in stereo speakers and a headphone jack, which is a real plus.

We install a wide-angle screen on a metal arched base, which visually blends well with the whole. It is a pity that the adjustment method itself remains very limited - the monitor can only be tilted back and slightly less often forward.

The main control button in the form of a mini-joystick is located in the middle - it allows you to adjust, including the volume level and using the main menu. On the back of the case are the classic main inputs: audio, headphones, HDMI, DP, SVGA and, of course, a power outlet. Undoubtedly, an HDMI-MHL connector would also be useful.

The resolution of the monitor itself leaves much to be desired, but given its price, which currently fluctuates around PLN 800-1000, it can be accepted painlessly - if you are not embarrassed by a slight pixelosis.

Philips 278E8QJAB has a built-in The VA LCD panel, which I can safely praise for very good color reproduction even at wide viewing angles, up to 178 degrees, colors are vibrant and bright, and the image itself remains very clear. Thus, the monitor is ideal for watching movies, as well as for playing games, editing photos or running other resource-intensive programs.

The device uses innovative Philips brand technologies, incl. minimizing eye fatigue by adjusting brightness and reducing screen flicker. Also interesting is the technology that automatically adjusts the colors and intensity of the backlight, analyzing the images displayed on the screen. As a result, the contrast is dynamically adjusted to best reproduce the contents of digital images and movies, as well as the dark colors found in PC games. Eco mode adjusts contrast and backlight to properly display office applications while reducing power consumption.

Another modern technology worth paying attention to in this monitor. At the touch of a button, it dynamically improves the color saturation, contrast and sharpness of images and videos in real time.

When testing the monitor—whether working in Word or Photoshop, or surfing the web, watching Netflix or playing games—the image was sharp all the time, refreshment remained at a good level, and colors reproduced well. My vision did not bother me, and the equipment made a great impression on my friends. The monitor looks very modern and elegant. The big advantage is the built-in speakers and the affordable price in general. I think a person with a smaller budget will be pleased.
