Electric BMW C1: Roof for C-Evolution Coming Soon?

Working to expand its electric range, BMW has just published a new series of patents announcing the development of a closed version of the C-Evolution.

The BMW C2000 marketed in the early 1s did not have much commercial success. 20 years later, this does not prevent BMW from continuing to work on this topic, adapting its model to a more modern technology: electricity! The first series of patents, published last year, has just been completed, confirming the progress of the project.

As was the case with the C1 at the time, safety will be one of the main arguments in favor of this new scooter. The images published by the manufacturer, in particular, show the crumple zones of the machine, designed to protect the driver in the event of a collision. They also indicate the presence of a four-point seat belt and side airbags.

Based on C-Evolution?

If BMW does not provide technical information at this stage, there is a good chance that this covered version will use the same technology as the BMW C-Evolution. In its current configuration, the German electric maxi scooter is equipped with a 35 kW electric motor and a 12.7 kWh battery, which gives it about 160 kilometers of autonomy.
