Electric Harley-Davidson: 15,5 kWh battery, 235 km range. Price in Poland from 150+ thousand zlotys

Harley-Davidson has released the LiveWire specification for electric motorcycles. It will be equipped with a 15,5 kWh battery, which will allow it to cover a distance of up to 235 kilometers in urban conditions. LiveWire starts at $ 29 in the US, while in Poland a motorcycle starts at PLN 799.

Mixed mode range has not yet been specified. It is also unknown that distance the motorcycle travels on a freeway – however, it can be expected to be a value in the range 130-170 km per charge [preliminary calculations www.elektrowoz.pl].

A big battery isn't everything: the LiveWire - as Harley-Davidson has been using it since the beginning - will feature a CCS fast charging connector. thanks to him energy recovery from 0 to 80 percent is expected to take 40 minutesand a full charge takes 1 hour. From this, it is easy to calculate that the motorcycle is charged up to about 25 kW... On slow charging (US 110V sockets), energy recovery should take 10-11 hours.

The batteries will be based on Samsung lithium-ion cells. The battery warranty is valid for 5 years without mileage limitation. The unit itself will be air-cooled - the air intake is located under the designated fuel tank, and the engine and controller will be liquid.

Maximum power 78 kW (106 hp). The 97-0 mph (60 km / h) acceleration is expected to take 3 seconds. Top speed was limited to 177 km / h (110 mph). The motorcycle will be equipped with Showa suspension, Brembo Monoblock brakes and a drive belt designed to create a motorcycle characteristic and unique sound while driving. As detailed on the Electrek portal (source), LiveWire should have four built-in driving modes (Sport, Road, Range and Rain) and three additional owner-configurable styles. In addition, there will be a navigation system that monitors the condition of the motorcycle, its position (in case of theft) and even ... a USB-C port.

LiveWire starts at USD 29, which is equivalent to PLN 799 net. In Poland, an electric Harley-Davidson cost PLN 113 per start (source). Of course, this value depends on the dollar exchange rate and, therefore, can fluctuate.
