Electric motorcycle: Expannia unveils its first concept

Startup Expannia has just unveiled its new electric motorcycle concept. Enhance all the features of this two-wheeled bike that looks very promising ...

Expannia is a recent startup specializing in the development of innovative electric vehicles based in Miami, Florida. Originally from Spain, José Luis Cobos Arteaga, founder and CEO of Expannia, has worked for many years as an engineer for prestigious companies such as Ford, Jaguar and Land Rover. His new company, founded just a few weeks ago, plans to develop various electric vehicles by 2026, such as a microcar, a cargo van, a compact car, as well as an SUV.

However, the first car Expannia will manufacture will be a two-wheeled, more specifically an electric motorcycle. Scheduled for 2022, this vehicle is only in the planning stage. Consequently, it will have to go through various development phases before it can be sold. The startup, which recently unveiled promising 3D images of its project to the public, also needs funding to start production.

Futuristic design

Expannia's 3D models show a rear suspension without levers, a conventional fork and a final chain drive without a gearbox. The wheel spokes are vane-shaped, which makes them visually very dynamic, and the design of the upper front of the car is extremely futuristic. The bike is also equipped with a double disc brake, which guarantees stability while driving.

Up to 150 km of autonomy

This new electric motorcycle will be powered by a 20-25 kW engine that will allow the vehicle to reach a top speed of 120 km / h. Its 6 kWh battery will have a maximum range of 150 km. In terms of price, the bike should be priced at € 13 ($ 900).

Given the many steps to be taken, will this promising car be able to bring this promising car to market in a year, as the manufacturer plans? The deadline seems tight, but prospective buyers are hoping that José Luis Cobos' new startup Arteaga will meet the challenge ...
