The famous Solex, assembled in Saint-Lo, is being reborn in several all-electric versions. Production target: 100 units in the first year.

The legendary motorcycle, owned by the Easybike group for several years, returns to France, where it is now produced in Saint-Lo in a new 4000 m² plant. The return to basics was announced 4 years ago by the Easybike group at the time of the brand buyout.

Target: 3500 units in the first year

Specifically, the new Solex electric bikes will be assembled alongside the Matra bikes, of which Easibike has already produced about 8000 units. For Gregory Trebaol, group boss, the goal is to produce 3500 in the first year and then ramp up production in subsequent years.

In total, the Solex 2017 lineup will consist of three models at prices ranging from 1800 to 3000 euros. According to the information on the manufacturer's website, all models will be equipped with Bosch systems.

In terms of distribution network, Easybike plans to deploy 50 to 60 Solex brand outlets by the end of June.
