Filled with innovation, Belgian startup Cowboy's electric bike will launch in France next spring following a successful € 10 million fundraiser.

Founded in early 2017 in Brussels on the initiative of the former Take Eat Easy Cowboy manager, Cowboy has already produced the first series of 1000 electric bicycles for the Belgian market. Building on the success achieved in the local market and thanks to a successful fundraising of 10 million euros, the startup wants to expand into new markets by next spring, including France, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK.

Electrical and connected

The e-bike, which won the 2017 Eurobike award, uses its 'technical' approach to attract customers and differentiate itself from an ever wider range of products.

“Typically, the players in the e-bike market are not technology companies, but cycling specialists who buy electrification kits from equipment manufacturers like Bosch to integrate them into their models,” explains Adrien Roose. At Cowboy, we're a startup, so we're doing just the opposite. We start with technology, we create innovations for use, we produce electrification ourselves and then we integrate it into the bike.” explains the company in its press release.
