Electrified Corvette GXE: the world's fastest certified electric vehicle

The electric Corvette GXE broke the world record for fossil fuel-free car models on July 28. A feat for the American company Genovation Cars, which emerged from anonymity in March last year on the occasion of the official presentation of its Corvette GXE.

Powerful electric car with 700 hp.

Last spring, the Corvette GXE stood out for the first time, breaking the first speed record. But without waiting, the electric car set a new record, reaching a speed of 330 km / h on the runway of the Kennedy Space Center, established in Florida. These performances have been endorsed by the International Mile Racing Association or IMRA, which also earned the Corvette the fastest car in the world in the "approved electric" category. It even goes far ahead of the famous Tesla Model S, which still has a speed limit of 250 km / h.

The Corvette GXE, or Genovation Extreme, was developed from the old Corvette Z06. It stands out for its 700 hp electric unit and 44 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The car is also equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. A small American company Genovation Cars promises a range of 209 km for this car under normal conditions of use.

Small batch marketing

The Corvette GXE, recently announced as the world's fastest electric car, will soon be sold in small series, Genovation Cars reports, after the record ends. Car enthusiasts are also looking forward to the upcoming launch of a hybrid or all-electric version of the Chevrolet Corvette, which is said to be taking shape. Corvette sales with an "alternative" engine are expected to be sold in the year 100, according to several sources.
