We sit in the car and something kicks us - in winter, when it is dry and frosty, the phenomenon of electrification of the car and ourselves can intensify. This is the feeling when the driver most often receives an electric shock when touching the car body. Why is this happening and how to get rid of unpleasant shooting?

Dry air means that the electric charge is not being discharged and therefore it is easier for current to jump between the car and the person. The driver's equipment is also important.

However, there are ways to counteract this phenomenon - the easiest way is to maintain the humidity of the air, comments Jacek Bloniars-Luchak from the Copernicus Science Center.
