The market for motorcycles and electric scooters in 2016, thanks to the equipment of the La Poste group, showed significant growth. A total of 5451 vehicles were sold, which is 270% more than in the 2015 year.

Electric scooters: La Poste conquers the market

Dominating the electric scooter market with a total of 4 registrations (+ 650% compared to 128), the 2015 cc segment became popular in 50 thanks to Ligier Pulse 2016. This small three-wheeled electric scooter became the most popular model of the year. ... It sold 3 copies and owes its success to a large order from La Poste Group, which decided to equip its postmen.

Govecs comes in second with 539 registrations and Norauto Ride comes in third with 3 registrations.

BMW C-Evolution leads the 50cc category. Cm.

In the 125cc segment, BMW C-Evolution continues to dominate the market with 503 registrations, or 81% of total segment sales (620). A growth that cannot seem to stop as the manufacturer will release in 2017 a “long-range” version of its electric maxi scooter with an autonomy of 160 kilometers.

Good progress is also made for French SME Eccity Motocycles, which came in second in the segment with 87 Artelec registered in 2016. In 2017, the small manufacturer is set to make progress again, helped by an order from the city of Paris for 400 scooters.

Zero Motorcycle dominates the electric motorcycle market

The electric motorcycle market grew 77% in 2016 to 181 units, up from 102 in 2015.

If we do not know the details of sales by model, then it is Zero Motorcycle that again dominates the market with 103 registered registrations, or 56% of the market.
