Electric Scooter: Gogoro Completes $ 300 Million Fundraising

Taiwanese startup Gogoro has just completed a new $ 300 million funding round. Funds that will enable him to accelerate his presence in Europe and Southeast Asia.

Nothing stops Gogoro! A true phenomenon in the small world of electric scooters, the Taiwanese startup has just completed a new $300 million (€250 million) funding round. Among the new investors are the Temasek fund of Singapore, the Japanese Sumitomo and even the French group Engie.

For Gogoro, this new fundraiser - the largest in its history - should help accelerate its international expansion. In terms of its goals, the startup is mainly aimed at Europe, Japan and Southeast Asia.

Since its launch in 2011, Gogoro has announced that it has sold over 34.000 100 electric scooters. In total, her clients have traveled over XNUMX million kilometers. In France, Gogoro electric scooters, in particular, are offered in self-service mode under Coup, a competing CityScoot device owned by the German Bosch group.
