Electric scooter: Peugeot joins forces with AT&T to unveil a connected model

Together with the American telecom operator AT&T, Peugeot presented a connected electric scooter at Vivatech, intended primarily for the car-sharing market.

Originally developed by the Indian company Mahindra, the Peugeot GenZe 2.0 features a removable battery with a 50 km range and a two-year warranty. It is easy to find thanks to its 3G chip, it is intended especially for fleets and car sharing services, and integrates multiple communication and surveillance devices to facilitate management.

All collected information (vehicle, battery and engine data, GPS location) is stored in the cloud and is available through a simple mobile application. This allows, inter alia, to provide information about location, battery level and remote diagnostic tools. For fleets, a management portal is also offered, which allows all vehicle locations and dashboards to be located by combining numerous statistics.

The Peugeot electric scooter, already available in selected markets, will soon be launched in France, where it will be sold at all 300 dealerships of the manufacturer. Offered for less than 5.000 euros, it will also be available for long term rentals.
