Electric scooter: after Yamaha, Gogoro joins forces with Suzuki

In Taiwan, the electric scooter specialist is now teaming up with Tai Ling, Suzuki's industrial partner. The latter will offer batteries compatible with the "Powered by Gogoro" network.

Gogoro continues to win! After partnering with Yamaha to develop the Yamaha EC-05, the Taiwanese electric scooter specialist has just formalized a new agreement with Tai Ling, the industrialist in charge of Suzuki's scooters and motorcycles.

If details of the partnership have not yet been mentioned, this clearly refers to the production of Suzuki's electric scooters, compatible with a network of about 1300 battery replacement stations deployed by Gogoro across the country.

In the Taiwanese market, Suzuki has been offering its first electric model since this summer. Dubbed Suzuki e-Ready, it is powered by a 1350W engine and delivers 50 kilometers of battery life.

With this partnership with Suzuki, Gogoro now has agreements with two of the four major Japanese two-wheeler manufacturers. Enough to legitimize his approach and encourage other manufacturers to join the ecosystem he pioneered.
