Self-service electric scooters for Zurich

The service, run by Mobility, will launch on April 19 and will offer 200 self-service electric scooters.

To use the service, simply register and find electric scooters nearby via the dedicated app. In Swiss francs, the service charge is 25 cents per minute and the scooters must be returned at a designated location and at “official” locations reserved for two-wheeled motorized vehicles, with the operator responsible for recharging the batteries.

«Each shared scooter reduces the number of private scooters, or ideally, private vehicles in circulation. In addition, sharing offers optimal performance when combined with public transport.”, explains Patrick Marty, Director of Mobility.

A total of 200 electric scooters with a volume of 50 cubic meters will be put into circulation on the streets of Zurich. See with a speed limit of 45 km / h. The official opening is scheduled for April 19th.
