Announced a few weeks ago, the Segway-Ninebot electric scooters were first shown at CES in Las Vegas.

Gone are the days when the segway was limited to a simple assortment of segways. Purchased in 2015 by the Chinese group Ninebot, the manufacturer continues to expand its range. After successfully entering the electric scooter market and introducing the first electric test series of electric motorcycles, it is now electric scooters. At CES in Las Vegas, two machines were unveiled under the Ninebot brand.

While we thought we could find a complete vehicle datasheet, the manufacturer ultimately only provides a few snippets of information. Thus, we learn that the smaller of the two models, baptized Ninebot eMoped, has a 1152 Wh battery for a declared range of 75 kilometers.

This electric mini scooter, quite compact and equipped with pedals, weighs 55 kg and seems to be more for the Chinese market than for the European one. In terms of technology, it has an NFC device to unlock it and start with a simple smartphone. In addition, there is an anti-theft device capable of sending notifications to the owner in case of suspicious activity.

Stronger, Electronic scooter Ninebot already seems more suitable for the European market. It is available in five versions with different power and autonomy. If the manufacturer is careful not to give details, we can clearly see the engine built into the rear wheel and supplied by Bosch. In its "premium" version, called the E200P, the Ninebot eScooter allows a top speed of up to 100 km / h at a distance of up to 200 km. By connecting the eScooter, you can link it to the mobile application and enable remote update.
