Peugeot electric scooters entered the Elysee Palace

These two Peugeot e-Ludixes, recently integrated into the Elysée fleet, are among the first vehicles installed by the manufacturer in France.

In practice, these two electric scooters will not be used for presidential antics, but for transporting small packages and documents between different places on the Elysee Lake. A deployment that also serves as a test. If successful, more electric scooters could be ordered to strengthen the vehicle fleet.

If the integration of this electric fleet is the first, the collaboration between the Peugeot teams and the Elysee Palace is nothing new. “At Elysée, we communicate with each other regularly. Their fleet already has a three-wheeled Peugeot Metropolis. We present our new products to them, and we knew that with an electric scooter like ours, they would certainly be interested. Launch early 2020

Assembled in India by Mahindra, the Peugeot e-Ludix epitomizes the new electric offering of the Lion brand. Equivalent to a 50cc electric scooter powered by a motor and a removable battery provided by German supplier Bosch, this small electric scooter has a top speed of 45 km / h and promises up to 50 kilometers of battery life on a single charge.

In France, its deliveries will begin in early 2020 for individuals with a no-deposit offer of 99 euros per month. Companies will also be able to access the e-Ludix Pro version, which will go on sale a little later this year.
