5.000 extra e-bikes for Véligo

Launched in September 2019, the long-term electric bike rental service, pioneered by Ile-de-France Mobilités, was a great success. According to the region, 5.000 residents of Ile-de-France have already signed up for the subscription plan.

This enthusiasm has prompted Véligo Location to expand its fleet to better meet demand. An additional 5.000 e-bikes will be ordered in February 2020. Enough to expand the fleet to 15.000 units.

Electric cargo bike rental

A service that will also be expanded for new purposes with the launch of 500 electric cargo bikes. These vehicles, capable of carrying up to one hundred kilograms, will be included in the Véligo Location offer. They will target families looking to change cars, transport children, shop, etc.

100.000 additional parking spaces by 2030

In the Île-de-France region, the development of cycling also requires changing the size of parking spaces. ” Lack of parking is one of the main barriers to bike use, which is why the development of bike parks throughout the Ile-de-France is a priority. »Proves that the region will contribute 140 million euros to the table.   

Although there are currently 19.000 2030 safe or freely accessible parking spaces in the region, the goal is to deploy tens of thousands of new parking spaces by the year XNUMX.
